This is a go-to for us. We like to buy large cuts of salmon and portion it out to freeze. 24 hours in the fridge will thaw them perfectly.

First, you make a house seasoning. I like to make a large batch and keep it on hand, as it’s a great mix for anything. Put together equal parts of garlic powder, kosher salt, dried parsley, dried minced onion, & dried basil. I like to add dried minced onion for a texture pop.
Pat your salmon dry and then coat both sides with olive oil. Season the flesh side generously with your house seasoning. Oil your grill and then heat it to Medium heat.
You can be fancy if you want and slice up lemons to rest them on or soak a cedar plank. Those methods add flavor but you still get a delicious salmon piece without.
Set the salmon on the grill skin side down. Cook covered for about 12-15 minutes (depending on how you like your salmon cooked). Remove from grill and rest for 5 minutes. Enjoy!
